The Last Card

Eddie Mathews holds the distinction of being the last card in the 1952 Topps set, numbered 407. As the final card in the series, it was often subjected to additional wear and tear, making high-grade examples scarce and highly sought after by collectors.

Mathews played the majority of his career with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves, spanning 17 seasons. He was a 12-time All-Star, two-time National League home run champion, and a key member of the 1957 World Series champion Braves.
